Steps

  1. Remove the bumper

    • Disconnect the battery and pull the bumper.

  2. Remove the stock cooler

    • Take off the cold pipe and four bolts.

  3. Fit the new mounts

    • Bolt on the new intercooler and its mounts.

  4. Fit the pipes

    • Lubricate the couplers and fit the new pipes.
    Watch this step (7:11–10:05)

  5. Finish up

    • Tighten the clamps and refit the bumper.

Safety first

  • Park on flat ground, set the parking brake and chock the wheels.
  • Never get under a car held up only by a jack. Use jack stands.
  • Let the engine and exhaust cool first.
  • Disconnect the battery before unplugging electrical parts.
  • Wear safety glasses.
  • If something doesn't match your car, stop and ask a shop.
