Terms of Service
Last updated: November 1, 2026
These terms are the rules for using ModBuddy (modbuddy.co). By using the site, you agree to them. If you create an account, you'll be asked to agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
What ModBuddy is
ModBuddy is a free site with general information to help you plan car modifications. It's not professional mechanical advice. Please read the Disclaimer. Working on cars is risky, and you're responsible for your own work, safety and following the law where you live.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you're under 18, use ModBuddy with a parent or guardian's permission, and have an adult help with any work on a car.
Your account
- Give accurate information, keep your password private and don't share your account.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else got in.
- You can delete your account any time from your account page.
What you post
When you share a build, suggest a fix or leave a vote comment:
- It must be your own words. Don't copy text or pictures from service manuals, other websites or anyone else's work.
- You keep ownership of it, and you give ModBuddy a free, worldwide, permanent license to use, edit, show and build on it to run and improve the site.
- No spam, ads, illegal content, harassment, personal information about other people, or advice meant to cause harm.
- Suggestions are reviewed before anything changes, and we may edit, decline or remove anything we think breaks these rules.
Don't misuse the site
Don't try to break in, get around security or limits, overload the site, or scrape or copy it in bulk (including to train AI models) without our written permission.
Our content
The guides, layout and design of ModBuddy belong to ModBuddy. You can use them for your own projects and share links, but don't republish them as your own. Install videos belong to their creators and are shown through YouTube's player. Product names and brands belong to their owners; mentioning them doesn't mean they endorse ModBuddy.
Some guide text is written with the help of AI tools. We work to keep it accurate, but mistakes are possible. Use "Suggest a fix" if you spot one.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on ModBuddy infringes your copyright, email getmodbuddy@gmail.com with: your contact details, the work you own, the page and exactly what you believe infringes it, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, a statement that your notice is accurate and that you're the owner or allowed to act for the owner, and your signature (typing your full name is fine). We'll review it and remove material when appropriate. We may close accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.
Links to other sites
Parts links and videos take you to other websites we don't control. Prices, fitment and availability can change, so always double-check before you buy.
No warranty
ModBuddy is free and provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise the site will always be online or error-free, or that the information is complete or right for your car. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, ModBuddy and its owner are not liable for any injury, damage to your car or property, lost money, or other indirect or consequential loss from using the site or its information. If we are found liable anyway, our total liability is limited to $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Ending use
You can stop using ModBuddy any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put the site or other people at risk.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for important changes we may ask you to agree again. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
