Before you start

  • Connect a battery charger if you can. A low battery during a tune can cause real problems.
  • Never turn off the car or unplug the tuner during a tune.

Steps

  1. Prepare the module

    • Get it ready.

  2. Run the cables

    • Run them through the firewall.

  3. Connect the engine bay

    • Make the connections.

  4. Connect the solenoid

    • Connect it.

  5. Tidy the wiring

    • Secure it and reassemble.

  6. Get to the engine bay

    • Take off the covers.

  7. Fit the sensors

    • Connect the JB4 sensors.

  8. Route the OBD cable

    • Run the cable.

Safety first

  • Park on flat ground, set the parking brake and chock the wheels.
  • Never get under a car held up only by a jack. Use jack stands.
  • Let the engine and exhaust cool first.
  • Disconnect the battery before unplugging electrical parts.
  • Wear safety glasses.
  • If something doesn't match your car, stop and ask a shop.
