Steps

  1. Remove the console

    • Take off the knob and lift the console.
    Watch this step (Hybrid Racing, on an RSX) (0:12–2:20)

  2. Remove the factory shifter

    • Unclip the cables and unbolt it.

  3. Fit the base

    • Fit the cables and tighten the base bolts.

  4. Fit the shifter

    • Fit the shifter and refit the console.

Safety first

  • Park on flat ground, set the parking brake and chock the wheels.
  • Never get under a car held up only by a jack. Use jack stands.
  • Let the engine and exhaust cool first.
  • Disconnect the battery before unplugging electrical parts.
  • Wear safety glasses.
  • If something doesn't match your car, stop and ask a shop.
